Bodyweight Training

Knee Pads – Add comfort to any kneeling exercise by taking pressure from the hard floor off of your joints.  Can also add a level of instability which helps you work on your stabilizer muscles.

Basic kneeling pad – simple, cheap, effective.

Balance Pad – Cushier than the basic pad, also allows for balance exercises when standing on the pad.

Sliders – A great and simple addition to your bodyweight routine.  These furniture sliders are versatile, lightweight and portable while packing a punch for your calisthenics routines.

Plastic sliders are ideal for turf, carpet or any soft surfaces. Wool sliders are great for hardwood, tile and harder surfaces.

TRX Suspension Trainer – a great all around training tool that can be used for every major muscle group.  It comes with a door anchor that can be used for PULLING exercises when a proper Pull-Up bar is not available to you.

Parallettes – From push ups, to L-sits and everything in between.  Parallettes ad versatility to your workouts while also strengthening the grip muscles in order to help with wrist pain associated with bodyweight training.

Low bars are ideal for push ups, L-sits, and assisting in floor rowing exercises.

Tall bars are great for beginners and can also be used for inverted rows.  These bars allow you to join the two together for further stability.

Weights and Variable Resistance

Dumbbells – A basic yet essential component to any workout.

Kettlebells – The reason we named our gym MOMENTUM! This is a great tool that can be used for both strength (GRIND) as well as explosive (BALLISTIC) training.

Ader Starter Set – 8Kg (18lb), 12KG (26lb), 16kg(. Comes with the three weights needed to carry you over from starter to intermediate. Single arm KB work is a great way to turn a lighter load into a more challenging workout.

Ader 24kg, 32kg. – For the more advanced KB enthusiasts, the 24kb (53lb) and 32kg (70lb) kettlebells will add some serious punch to your workouts.

The Folks at TRX make some nifty rubber coated kettlebells to reduce damage to surfaces.

Ultimate Sandbags – A favorite of Marco’s SANDBAGS & KETTLEBELLS class, these sandbags have many different handles that allow for a variety of movements,  Additionally, the sand filler adds a dynamic variable to the resistance as the sand shifts and your body has to respond to it.

– Sand can usually be found at most hardware stores for approximately $15-$20 for 50lbs of sand. –

Ultimate Sandbag CORE system:  Loadable up to 20lbs

Ultimate Sandbag POWER system: Loadable up to 40lbs

Ultimate Sandbag STRENGTH system: Loadable up to 80lbs

Sandbells – These sand pods can act on their own as a variable weight and they also make excellent fillers the the Ultimate Sandbag for quick shifting from one weight to another.

-Unfilled bags are also available for cheaper but I recommend getting them pre-filled as they are a PAIN to fill on your own!

SURGE Water Weight – The surge of water creates a unique stability requirement that really helps fire up your core and help correct imbalances.  Easily fill or empty the tube to add or decrease the resistance.

BANDS & ACCESSORIES

Mini bands – Place them around your ankles or knees for glute work, these bands are very portable and useful.  A popular item for rehab as well as strength training.

Perform Better VersaLoops – these are the same bands that we use at the gym as well as for physical therapy.  Simple, effective and very durable.

Slingshot Hip Circle – this ia a mini loop made from a stretchable fabric.  The softer feel and wider band width allow for more comfort and ease of use but comes with a bit of a pricier tag.

Super Bands – At 40″ long and coming in at varying thicknesses, these bands can be used for everything from resisted pushing exercises, to assisted Pull-Ups and even stretching.  The thinner the band, the less resistance you will have and the resistance itself varies the longer it is stretched out.

1/2″ Band – Provides approximately 15lb – 20lb of resistance.

1″ Band – Provides approximately 30lb – 75lb of resistance.

1 3/4″ Band – Provides approximately 60lb – 120lb of resistance.

Lifeline Bands – these are the same as we use at Momentum, bit pricier than the ones you find at that discount department store, these bands are built to last and come with various resistances as well as anchors so that you can workout anywhere.
