Personal Trainer · Pre/Postnatal Coach · Pilates & Strength Isabella Stansbury

Isabella Stansbury, personal trainer and Pilates instructor specializing in core strength.

Isabella will be the first to tell you she is not the knower of all things. She is a coach who loves ice cream, talks about her rescue pup Theo in pretty much every session, and believes fitness sticks when it feels human. That is deliberate. Many of her clients spend more time with her than with their friends, and the trust that builds is what keeps them training year after year.

Her standard is simple: lifelong habits beat perfect weeks. She keeps clients posted on the certifications she is earning and the research she is reading, then puts it to work in their programs. The relationship lasts because the results do.

Training Style & Focus

Isabella tells every client the same thing: we are training for your 80-year-old body. Active people pick up injuries, and inactive people pick them up for different reasons, so she builds corrective exercise into programs before anything hurts. Joint health comes first, and strength training is the tool she trusts most to protect it through every phase of life.

She started in the Pilates world, where nothing in her hands weighed more than twenty pounds. These days she would rather hand you a barbell or a kettlebell, but the Pilates years never left her programming. Sessions prep the body with activation and deep core work, then translate that stability into heavier lifts. It is why a guy who has only ever lifted heavy might find himself humbled by a single-leg bridge in her session.

Pre/Postnatal Strength & Corrective Training

Pre and postnatal clients are one of Isabella’s most consistent populations, and her favorite. She thinks it is also one of the most under-served groups in fitness, and she trains expectant and new mothers to feel strong and capable rather than fragile. Strength work done right supports both mom and baby, and can help the body prepare for labor, delivery, and everything after.

The other thread that runs through her client list is back pain, which touches nearly everyone she trains. Her corrective and Pilates background shapes how she rebuilds deep core function and joint stability, whether the goal is recovering from an injury, surviving a desk job, or adding plates to a lift.

What to Expect in a Session with Isabella

Isabella is laid back and conversational in a session, but she always arrives with a plan. She explains why each exercise is in your program and keeps you posted on your own progress.

Sessions typically open with activation and corrective work, move into strength training, and close the same way every time: five minutes of assisted stretching. It feels great after a hard session, and it tells both of you exactly where your mobility needs work between sessions.

What Isabella’s Clients Say

I especially love to tell my women who’ve never lifted before to go home and brag to their partners about the exact weight of the PR we hit during that session.

Clients say Isabella gets them to do things they would never attempt on their own, and that they stay for her personality as much as the programming. She is also the one who notices the wins clients miss in themselves.

We are all our own worst critics, so she treats it as part of the job to point out the small victories, whether that is a first pull-up, feeling great in a strapless dress at a wedding, or carrying the groceries upstairs without thinking about it.
